ASJP is a love of architecture which began with a bright-eyed child in the suburbs. My practice has evolved into a small and dedicated studio refining architecture and ideas that I am proud of.
I keep the office deliberately small, which allows us to dedicate the time every good building needs. We generally focus on residential projects, but work at all scales, collaborating with like minded peers on larger projects.
I don’t have a particular style, all projects are different, each with its own personality. The recurring theme throughout all my projects is a loving and careful approach to space, place and materials.
My first commission, a courtyard house on the Central Coast, was designed whilst at university.
For many years I mixed architecture practice with further studies and after graduating with first class honours I formed the partnership Savio Parsons wth Gemma Savio, whilst working for David Boyle Architect in Pretty Beach.
We completed three houses and were shortlisted in House & Garden’s My Ideal Home competition and two Australia Institute of Architects awards.
I then worked for three of my heroes at Durbach Block Jaggers, before returning to sole practice - a place where I’m happiest.
